The Boyfriend

Scene: Described well, I enjoyed the setting and it was well worded but not too over complicated. A handful of places put simply, so we can concentrate on the story and characters. Standard Freida. ****
Characters: Unreliable, messy, complicated and so real. I love the different narratives, this is so realistic. *****
Story: Being gaslit by Freida McFadden might be my new favourite pass time. *****
Recommend?: Yes, Freida all day!

This ended up being the worst Freida book I’ve read so far. Did the story move along in a somewhat satisfying way? Yeah. But the endings, the final reveal… just awful. There’s no way for me to complain about this book without spoiling it, but honestly, it’s terrible.
