Descripción

"The Emperor's New Clothes” is a short tale by Hans Christian Andersen which in this in this delightful adaptation is brought up to date by Anthony James.

It is a story of vanity and power tells the story of two weavers who promise the Emperor a new suit of clothes that is so special that it is invisible to those who are simple or stupid, but of course it isn’t. So none of the Emperor’s advisors wanted to admit that they were simple or stupid so they don’t tell him the truth. The Emperor then wore his new suit in a parade, all the citizens cheered him as they don’t want to be seen as simple or stupid. However, a little girl who didn’t know the story cried "He isn't wearing anything at all!" Then of course everyone else started saying it and the Emperor suddenly realised that he had been very stupid and put in a system that meant in future he didn’t make a fool of himself.
