Descripción
Things are not as they appear. Often good seems bad and bad seems good. The Poet, Peter Black's first book is the story of a man's journey in search of truth. He wishes to understand himself and the world and cool the fire burning in his soul. On his search he becomes prisoner to giants, enlisted in a 'honorable' city as a liar and in time comes to a democracy, seeing many instances of the distortion of truth: unholiness appearing holy, ignorance seeming as wisdom, injustice believed as justice.
WARNING! This is not a story most people would want to read. It is based loosely on Plato's philosophy and the Distortion of Virtue, a philosophical idea. If you are not interested in philosophy, you may not like this story. This was the first story I ever wrote and the idea behind it was more important to me than the writing and style, which is obvious.
