Complete surprise. I didn't expect to enjoy this but I did. It is NOT a man's book bur read it as a book about Hollywood.

Taylor Jenkins Reid books never disappoint and this one defiantly did not!Evelyn is such an amazingly written character and she captures the true meaning of what it means to be a movie star in the 50s, and the lengths she is willing to go to be a star. This book was a joy to read with some twists. Evelyn was willing to do anything for the people she loves, even if it means sacrificing the carrer she spent so long creating for herself. This book is a different take on enemies to lovers and I loved it and really enjoyed experiencing all of Evelyns relationships, but it also showed what it was like to be bisexual in the 50s.Evelyn is willing to give up everything for Celia, even after all the mistakes and pain she has caused Celia, but she is wiling to take Evelyn back for he last time before her sad and tragic death.Evelyn has lost everything she ever loved in her life, her daughter and her wife.

Easy read with a bit of mystery but predictable. Good if you have been struggling to get back into reading.
