The Simple Guide to Nicki Minaj follows on from the successful books, The Simple Guide to Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. Following the same format which has been so well received in our other books, we look at Nicki’s early life, her difficult early years, being away from her family, how her fantasies became her reality and how she is being compared to L’il Kim and Missy Elliott. How did she come up with the idea for her alter ego “Harajuku Barbie”? Taking a look at her early musical career and her production of mix tapes to impress the right people. How she was influenced by artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Madonna and even Marilyn Monroe. Nicki has been questioned several times on her sexuality. We hear from the artist herself who puts the record straight.
