The slob3.5stars Disturbing,Sickening & Repulsive I would have rated it higher if only I wasn't bored for the first 40% of the book.Again, I absolutely love the images that come with Aron's books. For me it makes it even more revolting and a little more fun to read. This is my 2nd Aron Beauregard book (1st was through the eyes of desperation, literally my fav!) Anyway I went in with high expectations.I think I need to scrub my brain after reading this… this book will stay with me forever, there is no erasing what the hell I just read. I don’t think a book has ever made me feel physically sick, until this one. It was disturbing and all types of fucked up! BUT I couldn't put it down, I sped through this. Yes, it's a short book but I am a slow reader and read it in one sitting.
This story was extremely nerve wracking, it was like watching a super crazy horror movie. Every turn was more nerve wracking than the last. The main character Vera was well written. Some chapters were harder to read then others but I got thru it all. I will say that the dumbbell chapter didn't make sense to me because from what I have learned in true crime she would have died. BUTTTTTT I LET IT PASS BECAUSE IS A FICTION BOOOOK!!!!!!!! Also this books last chapter reminded me of the movie Fresh.
