A reader-favorite story of love, family and second chances

Previously published in June 1996 as The Temporary Groom

If single dad Billy Stonecreek doesn't find himself a wife who is mother material, his horrible in-laws will gain custody of his little twin daughters. Billy loves his girls more than anything, but who will love him enough to live with all of them?

Cherry Whitelaw can't seem to outrun the reputation she has in Hawk's Way. And when she hears what Billy needs, she sees the perfect way to gain some respectability in the community. But can she make her new husband fall in love with her, too?
