Your Moving Landscape

Over the past two decades, Olafur Eliasson has regularly traveled to Iceland to photograph the island's landscape and natural phenomena. This ambitious, on-going venture -- almost cartographical in its scope -- has resulted in approximately eighty photo series to date and a plethora of individual photographs of glaciers, waterfalls, rainbows, sunrises, volcanoes, and geysers. Far from only documenting the world, Eliasson's vibrant images reflect on our relationship to nature and our physical existence within space. An artwork in its own right, this book presents Eliasson's highly personal selection of full-color images from his immense body of work, granting the reader a rare peek into a signifi cant source of inspiration for much of the artist's work in other media -- the Icelandic landscape.
