Amidst the thrilling adventure of his quest, he forms deep connections, including a poignant love story that complicates his journey. Each decision he makes carries weighty implications, blur the lines between right and wrong, and raises haunting questions about fate and free will.
As he strives to change a pivotal moment in American history, he wrestles with the age-old dilemma of whether one person can truly change the course of destiny. The tension builds as he faces not only external obstacles but also the inner turmoil of his heart, leaving him to wonder if some events are simply meant to unfold as they do.

Good intentions don't prevent chaos. You can't save everyone. Live in the present. I am not a Kennedy buff at all so I bet this would be more meaningful to someone who was more familiar with what actually happened. I was doing some googling at times, but it was so long that I was just getting through it. It was good so I didn't even contemplate DNFing. I also went back and forth between kindle and audio for literally months in between other books. It is a trek but worth it.Also, alternate ending idea: Jake lets the world burn to be with Sadie. 🤷🏻♀️ What can I say? I am a dark romance girl at heart.
I expected more from the book, perhaps because I’m not very familiar with American history. I didn’t find the horror elements I was hoping for; instead, it felt more like a blend of historical fiction and science fiction. Don’t get me wrong—it’s not a bad book, but it’s not particularly good either; it just feels bland. It took me too long to read, and it felt more like a history lesson than an actual time-travel adventure. However, I did enjoy Jake's personality.
