The book tells the stories between five children and a monster. Five siblings went vacationing in the countryside where they met a sandy elf who can help them realize all their wishes, which made the children extremely happy. The elf helped them become very beautiful, but the nanny didn't recognize them and kicked them out of the house; the elf conjured up much money for them, but they were almost caught by the police due to the useless money; they grew wings and flied onto the top of the church, but they were trapped there; they confronted with the enemy outside the "castle" and negotiated with the Indians who scalped people, but they had to watch their little brother who can not even talk turned into a young man of more than twenty years.
