I loved it, the emotional pacing was spot on - if you've read The Binding you'll know exactly what to expect. Yes, the game is a central theme but understanding how it works isn't important, it's about the effort, creativity and dedication it requires. I thoroughly enjoy Bridget Collins' work, I hope another is in progress! Update: Re-read and enjoyed it even more, picking up on some little hints along the way. It's such poetic writing.
