مشاهده همه⭐ 4.5 stars ⭐I was completely hooked on A Fate Inked in Blood! Danielle L. Jensen delivers everything I love in a fantasy romance—intense battles, divine magic, and a slow-burn romance that had me dying.Freya is such a fierce protagonist. I loved watching her go from a trapped fisherman's wife to a warrior fighting for her own fate. Her dynamic with Bjorn? Absolutely electric. The tension between them had me turning pages so fast, and their chemistry is just chef’s kiss. The worldbuilding is rich with Viking-inspired lore, and the mix of political intrigue and action kept me invested the whole way through. And that ending? Let’s just say I need the next book ASAP. If you love fantasy romance with strong heroines, high stakes, and forbidden tension, this one is definitely worth picking up!
“The truth women tell women is not the same truth that women tell men.”4.5/5 stars. This book was SHOCKING. I saw it blow up all over TikTok when it first came out and thought, ‘no, that’s not my type of book.’ But after seeing SO much about it, I thought, ‘why not?’ I was a bit apprehensive at first, because Freya was already married, but during the second chapter, that quickly changed and everything was a whirlwind from then on. Snorri and Ylva are very problematic characters and I HATE them so much because they are so frustrating and angering, always twisting things to their perception of the world. But when I saw I hate Geir and Ingrid so much more, I mean I HATE them both so much more because they are so selfish and self centred and more of a problematic character than Snorri and Ylva. But the thing that I love about this book is that it’s different. I didn’t think the Norse mythology world would be that good, but it was actually surprising and defenitely done the right way. I also love how Jensen managed to weave in so much mystery into this book, where you’re questioning EVERYONE’S intentions and loyalties. And Bjorn…his laid back, sarcastic, whitty character is AMAZING. The thing I love about this book most though, is that everything falls naturally into place instead of it seeming forced. It’s defenitely a must read if this is something you’re interested in—but bare in mind that you’ll find yourself frustrated to no end with Snorri, Ylva, Ingrid, Geir and Freya’s mother.
