Honestly, this is my first novel by Atul Gawande and my first novel about the medical field, and I will say that this was astounding. I enjoyed the whole novel and the insight it portrayed about the lives of surgeons and medical personnel. It did it in a way that didn't bore the reader with a build up of medical terms (which I was honestly expecting), but rather did it in a down to earth approach. It was a great read and I would highly recommend it to any of my peers looking to mix up their current genre selection.
