FOLLIA!! Come iniziare col botto direi, avevo delle aspettative altissime per questa saga e credo proprio che non verranno deluse.

The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas was my official entrance into the Throne of Glass world… and yes, I started with this one first. I know there are two camps in this discussion and I have chosen chaos. ⚔️🙂‍↕️This is a collection of stories, but it doesn’t feel random. It feels like watching pieces quietly fall into place while something bigger waits in the background. It took me a while to get into. The first 60% was a bit of a struggle while I figured out the world, the tone, and how everything connects. But once it clicked, it really clicked. There’s something very interesting about this book. It’s softer than I expected in some moments, then suddenly sharp and heartbreaking when you least expect it. You can feel that it’s building toward something important. It’s also nothing like anything I’ve read before, which made the experience feel fresh even when I was struggling. For me it’s 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐I really liked it, even if it took time to fully pull me in. It feels like the beginning of a much bigger journey, and now I’m genuinely excited to continue and see where this story goes.If this is the starting point… I’m ready for the ride. 🗡️✨

A good introduction to the Throne of Glass universe. Very fast paced and and I loved each journey along the way.

Wow...This is the first book I read in the series. I had a hard time connecting to the characters sometimes. Especially because the stories were short. However I immediately took a liking towards Sam. <spoiler>I knew he would die but didn't think he would die in this book already.</spoiler> I think this book sets the series up perfectly. Betrayal, heartbreak, friendship, love and a lot of twists. I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Kind of slow and dry at some points but I am definitely a purist when it comes to reading so I was needing read this before throne of glass

Loved this pre story to the main series. The romance was for me a little unexpected, I felt like it could have also been just friends... But the story was really good and probably now leads to me having to re-read all of TOG

“She was fire, she was darkness, she was dust and blood and shadow.”I read The Assassin's Blade first and overall, I'm glad I did! While the pacing felt slow, which made it difficult to get into, I think reading this book first was the perfect way to begin this series. I wasn't hooked until The Assassin and The Desert, but I really enjoyed learning about the characters before beginning the main series.I adore Cel. My heart hurts for her. Diving right into her backstory gave me a deeper appreciation for her character and makes me even more excited to continue this series! I also don't think I would've enjoyed jumping back in time if I read this later—it wouldn't have hit the same way. I'm glad I'll already know references to Cel's past.In my opinion, reading The Assassin's Blade first is the perfect way to immerse yourself in this world. That being said, I can tell this won't be my favorite book in the series but that's still subject to change as I continue!03/17/2025: My reviews of the Throne of Glass series- Throne of Glass- Crown of Midnight- Heir of Fire

Oficialmente puedo decirle adiós (no realmente) Te voy a extrañar Celaena.

ArobynnCan definitely say I enjoyed reading Assassins Blade in the middle of the series (romantic read suggestion) than at the very beginning. Was gutted so many times. We learn a lot about Celaena and when Arobynn claims "I don't like to share" it makes your skin crawl. We left off Heir of Fire with Celaena on her way back to find Arobynn so this feels like a good Segway into all that trauma (and hopefully Ahrobyn getting what he deserves). Biggest annoyance is Celaena's unwillingness to listen to anyone. It's her kryptonite every time!!
