My goal in life is to be left in peace. That just doesn’t seem possible. I have a dad who is fading away and needs my help. I have an ex-wife who constantly reminds me why we’re divorced. I’m struggling in a job I loathe. The only joy in my life is when I get to be a puppy and shed the crushing responsibilities for a while. The problem? I’m too chicken to attend pup night at Club Kink and I don’t know any Daddies in Mission City. So I’ve tucked that part of me away, and I just survive each day without it, but I'm running on fumes. In truth, something has to give.

I love my life. Great job, great friends, great family. I have it all. What I don’t have is a partner. Specifically, I’m looking for a puppy. Finding one in Mission City might prove difficult, but I’m willing to try. Then a beautiful, damaged man crosses my path. My instinct to protect is strong. As is his resistance to accept my help. When we discover our desires align, it becomes my mission to help him find happiness. But convincing him he deserves to be cared for might be the toughest challenge I’ve ever undertaken.
