⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5)What a thrilling sequel in the Kingdom of Dark Magic series! While book one initially piqued my interest, this installment completely hooked me. The world felt even darker, the romance and tension were spicier, and the stakes continued to rise. The characters developed in ways I didn’t expect, revealing layers that made them even more compelling. So much happened that it’s difficult to go into detail without spoiling anything, but I was completely addicted to trying to figure out where the story was headed. And with that unexpected ending, I have no idea what’s coming next—I’m absolutely brimming with theories. One of my favorite parts of this book was watching Samara’s transformation. She’s finally coming into her own, and it was so refreshing to see a character embrace the darker parts of herself rather than run from them, using them to become stronger. Her training and the freedom to finally live on her own terms were especially satisfying after everything she endured in captivity. And the romance? Raphael is quickly earning a spot on my book boyfriend list. The yearning, devotion, and acceptance between them were everything I could have wanted.I highly recommend this series to fans of darker romantasy filled with vampires, witches, political intrigue, and a slow-burning romance that keeps you invested.Tropes: Vampires, bargains, magical bonds, protective & possessive MMC, FMC with secrets, political intrigue, witches.
