Aground

When a Miami based yacht, the Dragoon, vanishes under mysterious circumstances, charter captain, John Ingram (later to reappear in DEAD CALM, also published by No Exit Press) finds himself suspected of a marine swindle. Joined by the woman who owns the Dragoon, the beautiful Rae Osborne, he undertakes to find the missing vessel. What they don't realise is that the yacht contains a deadly cargo and that a group of criminals is also in on the hunt.

It looks as though Rae and John will end in a watery grave when they discover the schooner grounded on a sandbar, but are then trapped, pinned down by rifle fire from the beach – while all the time they are sitting on top of a bilge full of gasoline that is ready to blow sky high with just one spark!
