In a militaristic branch where there are no rules, the circumstances still try to break the main characters. A monster with a tragic past meets a girl who’s monstrous in similar ways, playing an unknown game of cat and mouse at the Dark Forces expense with an ending I didn’t expect.
Thank you Netgally and Bloom Books for providing me with this arc. I read this in one sitting. It was that good and attention grabbing. This is a fast paced military romance, with a lot of tension. I really liked the way the relationship between the two main characters developed. However, some revelation could have been done more slowly. That way you could have a better understanding what the characters where feeling and thinking. Sometimes we flew by those emotions. I really can't wait for the next book. The cliffhanger makes me want to know what happens next.
