I have had a signed copy of This book for 11 years, 😉. So I decided I would read it again as I couldn't remember what happened.I liked how the story began, Marney Carras is a likable character, who after her father's death, has been running her father's bar, she took pride in the job she did, to keep the last piece of her history alive and the bar doors open for business. It's proving difficult and when tall, dark, and handsome Crius decides her bar is the perfect one for a fight. Crius Vitalis (definitely talk dark and handsome, but also brooding and immature)The curse inflicted on him centuries ago by a witch (he was a witch hunter)Now it's present Day and their worlds collide, they find that despite the vast contrast between them, there's a definite Spark. But before they can discover what fate has in store for them in their love life, an unknown faction of shifters kidnaps Marney...Read the book to find out what happens.I'm about to start book 2 and I hope it answers some of the questions this book left me with.There's a reason Marney and Crius are drawn together (a prophecy regarding them, and this was only briefly mentioned?) and also regarding Marneys ancestry... This also I felt needed more than a few sentences on. Hopefully the world building in book 2 explains it.It's a 3.8 star for me.
