If you love your hockey romances with angst, addiction recovery, and second chances that HURT before they heal… this one’s for you.Blind Pass by Monty Jay absolutely pulled on my heartstrings and listening to it made everything hit harder.Emerson Greene is the NHL’s resident bad boy turned sober and spiraling. The portrayal of addiction and cravings felt so raw and uncomfortable in the best way. You could hear the battle in him. The guilt. The grief. The constant fight to stay clean. And then Sofia Morgan walks back into his life… stronger than ever, carrying her own heartbreak and secrets. Raised by fierce Hispanic women (Abuelita had me smiling every time 🥹), Sofia doesn’t crumble she survives.✨ Second chance romance✨ Redemption arc that actually feels earned✨ Emerson coaching tiny hockey players (I melted)✨ Slow burn that builds into some HOT spice 🔥✨ No OM/OW dramaIt’s emotional. It’s gritty. I cried. But by the end? Those tears turned soft and hopeful. This was my first Fury book and you can absolutely read/listen as a standalone.A huge thank you to NetGalley & the author for this ALC in exchange for my review. 🫶🏽
