Once again, Stephen King has masterfully interwoven dark, evocative fantasy and icy realism.
In some ways it was hard to believe this was connected to the Gunslinger at all. It read like a completely different book and it fulfilled much of the promise that the Gunslinger hinted at. On to the waste lands!
