Chemnitz's Works, Volume 10

Lutheran pastors, professors, and students of the Reformation look to Martin Chemnitz for the first and best defense of the Formula of Concord's theology. Just as the Augsburg Confession had its "Apology" (defense) by Philip Melanchthon, so the Formula of Concord had its famous "Apology" written by Chemnitz and his associates. The main topics discussed in this first-ever English edition are the person of Christ, the Lord's Supper, and the way in which Lutherans created and upheld their confessional writings. This valuable volume helps to answer questions such as "What authority does Luther have for us?", "Does the Formula of Concord really agree with the Augsburg Confession?", and "What is the proper way to unity?"
