About the Author:
Noreen McAuliffe earned an MA in literature and MFA in fiction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her nonfiction has appeared in The Common and The Baltimore Review. She has taught writing at Rutgers University, and currently works as an editorial freelancer in New York City.

Julia Fierro founded The Sackett Street Writers’ Workshop in 2002, and what started as eight writers meeting in her Brooklyn kitchen has grown into a creative home for over 2,500 writers. A graduate of The Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Julia's debut novel, Cutting Teeth, was recently included in Library Journal's "Spring Best Debuts," and on "Most Anticipated Books of 2014" lists by HuffPost Books, The Millions and Flavorwire, Brooklyn Magazine, and Marie Claire.
