Had me stressing haha! I was on the edge for the whole book and red it in a few hours sitting I couldn't put it down!
Literally started this book before my shift this morning and was so devastated that I had to put it down. I was so glad to pick it back up and finish it in one sitting. I love Lois Lowry and have all of his work and can't wait to finish each one.
I thought this book is for children so it might not be that dark and scary but I was wrong. It really captures how terrifying when Nazi rules in Denmark, how people forced to hide, they can't have fun and eat cupcake the way they used to. The only thing that I am glad that the people in this book is very nice to each other, how the neighbors help each other. I recommend this book if you want to introduce to children about the dark history in this world, how things is not always sunshine and rainbow, without ruining their innocence..
