Penelope Douglas does such a good job weaving the past and present together, and I was on edge the whole time. The revenge, the mind games, the toxic obsession—it’s all so intense, but fair warning, some of the darker moments definitely push boundaries and might not be for everyone. Wow wow wow, just wow. I loved it. And the ending ahhh the ending. It was perfect. The character development was magnificent. The tension perfect. It was just brilliant. I loved it so much.
4⭐️, What a book. I really enjoyed it, the friendship in this book, the things between everyone.
Quise leer esta historia viendo que muchas lo recomendaban por tik tok. Caso error. De por sí, la forma de escribir de la autora no me gusta, ni sus historias. Y no porque sean dark romance. No me ha gustado por varias razones: 1) El variar entre pasado y presente, provoca que te lies con lo que pasa, incluso olvidando lo anterior. 2) Cuesta creer que Michael y sus amigos puedan entrar en una clase y hacer lo que sea sin consecuencias, aun sabiendo quienes están debajo de las máscaras. 3) El rollo ese de "llevo obsesionado/a desde siempre contigo" me quita cualquier morbo, pues solo se justifica con que el o la protagonista son muy guapos. 4) La protagonista me resulta muy tonta y al final del propio libro cuando se destapa todo el misterio resulta cómico que por la falta de la comunicación termine así. 5) Eso de el miedo me pone... Uf no. 6) Hay cosas que suceden sin explicación y de repente solo piensas ¿Y ahora por qué? ¿En qué momento?En definitiva, lo único que salvaría es la escena de la sauna, pues es muy spicy y bien hecha, pero vamos, por resto nada.
I wasn't sure about this book for the first half but the second half had me hooked. I can't wait to read the next one.
I couldn't put it down it was so good. So much tension and crazy moments that had me WTFing out loud. Beautiful, fucked up, and so addictive. 5⭐️
THIS BOOK. WOW. i am so upset that it took me this long to start this series bc i already know i'm going to become extremely obsessed with it. it's amazing. it was dark, mysterious and everything i needed in a dark romance book. michael and rika were both amazing. i also loved the other horseman, well, besides one.. i was not a fan of damon but i'm told he redeems himself so i look forward to seeing how. but KAI? oh i love kai. i wanted to cry for kai. the little twists were insane and i really didn't see them coming to the point where my jaw literally dropped! i loved every second of this book and had so much fun! i can't wait to continue this series really soon!
