County fire.....: what really goes on in the firehouse

When the bell sounds for a call an emergency for a few seconds everyone in the station is thinking the same thing. No racism what so ever for those few moments, everyone in that room is thinking how can we help. After the dispatcher give out the call, rather it is for the engine, truck, ambulance or heavy rescue, everyone is on the same page for once.
Sharima Upkins went for Jr. Cadet to a career in fire fighting following in the foot steps of her mentor Mr. Donald Walker. Sharima is a single mom of two boys providing a safe and healthy environment for her sons. Sharima is loved by her friends, family, a love that she is not expecting. Sharima is especially loved by Ben her gay coworker whom is dating the Mayor of DeKatur. The secret is kept very hush, hush not even their coworkers know that Ben is gay. Sharima is furious about the racism she is enduring as one of the first African American women sworn in she never expected her coworkers to be so racist and to find out that some of her coworkers or murders is a bit too much for Sharima.
County Fire will be the novel that will wake up Americans innocence on racism in public safety. County Fire will also be a welcoming addition to the public, for many years it has been taboo to talk about racism in the fire department because it is the last of the good ole' boy system........
