Daffy Down Donkey

Clara Carter and her best friend Jilly are two bright 11-year-olds who let the whole world know where their loyalties lay--with the animals. The humorous short novels in the "We Love Animals" series are divided into chapters so that children can enjoy reading them in more than one session. Clara and Jilly see Daffodil the donkey in a field that looks like a junk yard. The animal doesn't even have a comfortable place to sleep--and the girls know they have to help her.
