Damaged

All my life I had tried to avoid becoming like my father—engaged in a very obsessive, unhealthy kind of love for my mother. He died a broken a man, chasing after his wife who had cheated and irrevocably broke his heart and spirit.

I was successful at keeping every woman I came across with at arm’s length..until I met this one woman who challenged it, threatened it and had all the power in her hands to unman me.

The fight was a long one but in the end, I had lost. I gave in…

Another generation of repeat obsession…

But unlike my father, I will at least try.
