Demon Hunter

While on an archaeological dig in Egypt with his father, Jai accidentally opens a portal to an ancient world. Suddenly, he is confronted with Anubis, God of the Dead, who captures his father. To rescue his father, Jai must hunt down a demon who has escaped from the underworld and is wreaking havoc on Victorian London. Jai finds himself a stranger in a strange time and a strange land, searching for a demon who jumps from human to human in order to savagely hunt and murder in peace. The only way to stop it is to destroy its human host, but first you have to stay alive long enough to find it. And in Victorian London, there's only one name on everyone's lips ...Jack the Ripper!

The Demon Hunter is part of the HEROES series - created with series editor Frank Cottrell Boyce and specifically written to engage and captivate less confident readers. An epic tale packed full of action and cliff-hangers that boys and girls will not be able to put down. A great solution for reluctant readers and encouraging reading for pleasure. "Any teenager who likes gory horror films, The Mummy or Indiana Jones will take to this like a leech to a seeping wound." Melanie Chadwick, Benfield School, Newcastle upon Tyne "I thought that this book was original, absolutely fantastic, very gory..." Shirley Walmsley, Albany Science College, Chorley
