Despair

Stacy woke up one morning to find her husband and son gone. When she went in search of them, she discovered everyone in her neighborhood was missing as well and the world was not what it was when she passed out the night before.

In “Despair”, horror author C. Dennis Moore returns to his dark fantasy Aftermath series. The survivors are converging on Stacy’s neighborhood, taking over and causing Stacy to retreat into self-imposed isolation. But being stuck inside doesn’t give her the chance for another possible glimpse of her missing husband when the visions come, so she heads outside for some fresh air and, as she strolls further from her house, another vision hits. She doesn’t see her missing husband, but what she does see gives her the key to saving them all. If she can convince them to listen.
