Amazing!!!!!!

I was very excited to read the final in this trilogy and I loved the first two books. I thought this one was...alright...but it did seem a bit messy and leave a lot of unanswered questions (I'd prefer to give it a 2.5 score).I wish we could go back to the days of having one story lasting the length of one book rather than publishers expecting authors to string out stories into a trilogy or longer that seems to be the norm these days. It runs the risk of a story not evolving how it should do, using three chapters to explain an incident when one would do and going off on tangents that distract.Although I did love the world that was created and being Oxford based myself it was good knowing some of the locations. But there were some of elements that niggled me (no spoilers):1) This is a book written and set in the 21st Century so it really frustrated me that throughout the story Diana is treated by Matthew and other characters as a weak and helpless woman simply because she was pregnant. They wouldn't let her walk anywhere unaided or do anything for that matter. I know they were being protective but I still thought it was over the top. Plus the whole medieval outlook of male heads of households, woman 'doing their husband's bidding' and vampire wives having to act a certain way grated with me. Yes many of the characters are VERY old and but I cannot believe that they would be so set their ways, I would think that they would adapt the the culture they were living in.2) There was constant changing from Diana's point of view to third person POV which I couldn't get on with. It should have all been in the third person.3) The lovey dovey scenes were cringeworthy and unnecessary.Nevertheless I enjoyed the trilogy as a whole and glad I read them.
