Feedback and Questioning and Their Contribution to the Assessment Process

This research paper focuses primarily on the area ‘How feedback and questioning contribute to the assessment process’, and aims Define and discuss feedback and questioning in relation to assessment- Identify how feedback and questioning can be used in assessment, including their strengths and limitations- Discuss the methods of feedback and questioning currently used in the author’s subject area- Evaluate potential for further inclusion of methods of feedback and questioning and their use in assessment that are not currently utilised in the author’s subject area.Investigation is made into each of the above areas in order to provide an overview of the topic itself, and discuss ways in which this may be implemented in the education sector so that the benefits may be achieved without negative impact on either teaching or learning. Evaluation of the results of the research will attempt to indicate methods that can be implemented to achieve a positive result, and identify actual tools that can be used by teachers and tutors in the learning environment.
