Good solid mystery, not as intricate as an AC and there weren't clues in plain sight but the characters and locations were beautifully drawn. The love of farming and the traditions were integral to the plot. I enjoyed this it felt familiar and the Lancashire dialect was well written.
Prodigal son theme. Snapshot in time, wartime farming regs.
