A perfect mix of sweet and spicy! What did I just read? Perfection. I originally thought this was going to be over-hyped and I wouldn't like it. HA. Jokes on me. Sean is seriously the most perfect man. Intelligent (even if his views are a little out there), sweet, caring and spicy! He's almost too good to be true. Dom is broody, and grumpy most of the time, but as the book continues we see a bit more about him that shows that underneath all those walls is a man who just wants to feel loved. Cecelia, while trying to figure her life out, has wound up between these two men and holy Hannah. I'm so intrigued and I need to continue!
I mean...for a book that sounded like chat GPT wrote it I dug it. And I say chat ...bc I had to use chat to help me understand what was going on in some of the chapters. Probably could be amazing if rewritten.
I listened to this book for nearly 9 hours straight before I decided I wasn't all that interested in seeing where it was going. The prologue basically spells it out anyway.So, sorry to the person who recommended this series to me but I don't think I'll be continuing.
REVIEW! Im very late to the party on this one as it's been out for a while. My newest buddy read with @just_one_more_chapter_xThis book was more than a 5 star for me. The twists and turns, you meet cecilia who has moved to stay with her dad to help her mum to be set up with some money, to get this cecilia has to stay with him for a year and work in his factory. From here, she meets Sean the MMC. The relationship between these two gets complicated quickly, especially when another MMC gets thrown in in the form of dom, moody mysterious dom 🥵Things get spicy and mysterious, and there are a lot of twists and turns. An ending that leaves you hanging and dying for book 2! Here I go running towards that right now!! It's a beautifully written book, and I'm so glad I discovered this author. Thank you, @authorkatestewart
"You're the French man." How can you leave me hanging! Cecilia decisions and emotions are all over the place. However, when I think how I was at 19- I would pretty much be the same. I'm so glad I have already purchased book 2 to continue on!
If you want to feel lied to, cheated and manipulated, this is the one you want to read!God damn this book for ending on a good cliffhanger, now I HAVE to consider reading Exodus. It wasn't a bad book, just took a long time for me to get into and for things to start heating up, by which time I was already like 80% through. Also wanted more scenes like the one from the lake :( Overall gonna give it a 3 - (it was good! but just good imo).
