The authors (associated with the US Naval Academy) have produced a text intended to (in one semester of work) acquaint advanced undergraduates with the physical and analytical fundamentals of incompressible fluid flow. Sixteen brief chapters, with examples and exercises. The illustrations will win no prizes but serve their purpose; the mathematical notation seems (with all components written out in detail) frequently old-fashioned, but has evidently been intended to inspire minimal terror in student readers.
