Overall, I love we need diverse books. I love seeing everyone represented and some of the challenges of being in a minority! Now onto a review for each story. How to Transform an Everyday Ordinary Hoop Court Into a Place of Higher Learning and You at the Podium:The writing style took a while to get used to, but I really enjoyed the actual story. It told a good story of standing up for yourself but also taking others advice and not being afraid to learn from people with similar storiesThe Difficult Path:Wow, I loved that story! It was incredible. The writing, the storyline, the balance of emotions. Amazing story.Sol Painting Inc:I am unclear as to what the storyline of this was but I did enjoy one of the moments where the MC was thinking about why people were bullying him and he realised it was because of his race/what he looked like. It was also interesting to watch him wonder why his dad didn't stand up to the bullies.Secret Samantha:This story was so sweet! The characters all had their own personalities and uniqueness which I love. And the teacher was a great addition to the story, adding more background. The Beans and Rice Chronicles of Isaiah Dunn:Such a sad short story. From the second I picked it up I was interested in the characters and how they got in the situation they were in. I appreciate it had a a nice end, but still a realistic ending!Choctaw Bigfoot, Midnight in the Mountains:I am confused, not quite sure what the story was about.Main Street:I feel like this story covered so many concepts. It was a bit bitter sweet, showing the highs and lows of the culture of main street.Flying Lessons:The ending confused me, but it was a really sweet story. Both characters had a purpose, and in the end they both were able to enjoy themselves.Seventy-Six Dollars and Forty-Nine Cents:At the start I wasn't sold on the writing style, but it was fun either way. As the story progressed however, I was hooked.Sometimes a Dream Needs a Push:It was suxh a sweet story. I liked that there wasn't a bad guy in it, rather just a father who was struggling but learnt to accept his son.
