Freedom From Conscience - Melanie's Awakening

"There is nothing as violent as love." Loneliness can be a painful experience, as Melanie has learned from her years in college. And receiving a wedding invitation from her only true friend from high school, Nicole O'Brian, only heightens the agony of an isolated existence. Yet Nicole and her fiancé Daniel are not an ordinary couple; they are what are left of a group of vigilante serial killers, which included Melanie. It doesn't take long for Melanie to discover that something is darkness lurks beneath the happy facade of Daniel and Nicole's special day. In vain Melanie tries to uncover the secret, but in the meantime love comes into her life. What Nicole knows, however, will jeopardize this relationship as well as all those who dare to come close to Melanie. What evolves is a story of seduction and death that only becomes more complicated as what seems to be a ghost from the past enters Melanie's life. In the end Melanie must make a choice with deadly consequences - to save the one person she truly cares about she may have to take the life of another who has shown her nothing but love and devotion.
