توضیحات

In a world where vampires and humans coexist, the complexities of friendship, loyalty, and personal power unravel amidst the trials of adolescence. The story follows Rose Hathaway, a spirited Dhampir, as she navigates her training at St. Vladimir’s Academy, where she must protect her best friend, Lissa, an enigmatic Moroi princess. As they face the dangers that lurk not just from external threats but also from within the confines of their school, their bond is tested in unexpected ways.

Rose is fiercely devoted to Lissa, understanding that the bond they share goes deeper than friendship; it is a connection that transcends mere loyalty. The academy is rife with its own secrets and challenges, and as Rose trains to become a guardian, she grapples with her own identity and the definition of strength. Bound to protect Lissa, she finds herself caught in a web of intrigue that threatens to unravel everything she holds dear.

Amidst the backdrop of frozen landscapes and the chill of danger, the camaraderie between the students provides warmth and laughter, revealing a vibrant social scene that contrasts sharply with the lurking shadows. As tensions rise and mysteries deepen, Rose must confront her own insecurities while unearthing the truths about her past and her capabilities.

The narrative blends supernatural elements with the relatable struggles of youth, illuminating themes of self-discovery and resilience. Each character's journey intertwines, forging a rich tapestry that propels the reader into a world filled with danger, passion, and ultimately, the fierce fight for friendship and survival.

WHEN LOVE AND JEALOUSY COLLIDE ON THE SLOPES, WINTER BREAK TURNS DEADLY...

May 3rd 2026

This book was really good. I liked that it started with something happening. This is the second book, so there is no need for an intro as long as in the first book. Therefore, this captured my attention from the start. In this book, we follow Rose, as the winter break approaches. She has an important test that se needs to pass in order to become a Guardian in the future. However, not everything goes to plan, and new information changes the way Rose sees the world. We also learn more about how spirit effects Lissa and through their bond, Rose.We also follow the attraction Rose has for Dimitri, even though he might not be interested in her anymore, and she is dating Mason. The ending was just sad, and I cried. I liked the ending, but it was really sad.We met Tasha Ozera and Jeanine Hathaway for the first time. Tasha is Christian's aunt. She looks at the world a bit differently than other Moroi. She took care of Christian after his parents turned Stragoi. Jeanine Hathaway is Rose's mother. We get to see her and Roses dynamic for the first time. I think both these characters are quite interesting, and I hope we see more to them in the series. We also meet Adrian Ivashkov. He is a moroi who has a crush on Rose that she does not reciprocate. It later turns out that he never specialised in a magic type.I really like how Rose is growing and changing throughout the book, but still stays true to herself. One thing that sometimes annoyed me in the book was how some info we learnt in the previous book, was given in a bit of an info dump way, even though Richelle Mead tried to make sure it fit into the situation. I might not have had as big a problem with it as I did if I had waited between each book, but I like to emerge myself in a world and not read much in between. It does affect my rating that I felt like. there was a bit of info dump in the book, but I still liked it quite a lot.
