Each clash reveals layers of their tumultuous history, a tapestry woven with passion, heartbreak, and miscommunication. As they wrestle with their past, the protagonist must navigate her own resolve, torn between lingering affection and the need for self-preservation. The violent encounter becomes a catalyst for introspection, forcing both characters to confront their demons and the choices that led them to this fateful moment.
In the midst of chaos, questions of trust and redemption linger. The line between love and hate blurs as the storm outside mirrors the tempest within. Their fight becomes more than just a physical battle; it's a struggle for closure, clarity, and perhaps a chance at healing. Each blow exchanged reveals the intricacies of their emotions, and in the depths of conflict, the protagonist seeks to reclaim her narrative, proving that the heart’s journey is often the most challenging battlefield of all.

مشاهده همهWell, this book was a rollercoaster. I enjoyed how the relationships built in this book, watching as Bliss got stronger despite what she went through at the hands of her ex. And with Scythe in the picture, I'm sorry to say I'm not sure which I prefer: The sweet but clueless-to-social-ques Vincent or the wisecracking Scythe. Though I did enjoy seeing the attraction between Scythe and War grow, even if it was doomed from the start. Kind of hard to be with someone when they are lying about who they are and what they have done. This book gave a lot more insight into the other characters since the POV was split a bit more evenly between the four. And then one odd chapter for Caleb so we can see how and why the ending came to happen. I'm terrified for Scythe and Vincent, worried about Bliss and Nash and what the cops will find in Psychos, and for War who is absolutely torn apart, feeling betrayed by the two people he cared for most.Only got one book left in this series and as it is a "why-choose" series, I hope all four of them can end the series together and happy. Bliss would have to come to terms with Nash's past and War and Scythe/Vincent would need to talk it out. The last three chapters brought so much information to light that it leaves half of them feeling betrayed and lied to.
