Hope Bleeds In

“I hope I survive getting to school today” thought Zeke as he climbed out of bed. Let’s face it, the kind of thoughts most kids have in the morning are simply “school is boring, I wish it was Saturday”. But not for Zeke. School isn't the issue, getting there is the problem. Each and every day is a 45 minute battle of wit, intelligence, and bravery, all combined with a great deal of luck. Not much shakes a boy who fights to survive his daily trip to school, but the events of this day are about to change all of that. Today Zeke will meet someone who will alter the course of his life forever. An encounter on the dangerous streets of inner city Chicago leads to the uncovering of a buried secret and an unbreakable bond between two twelve year old boys who have one chance to harness their extraordinary skills and transform the world around them.
