The moth talk at the beginning was boring, but the story picked up once we met Mendax. Which was about a quarter or so through the book. I do wish Callie had more depth to her. She didn't really stand out. She was just sorta of there. I also feel like there wasn't that much chemistry between her and Mendax and that he also fell in love with her so quickly without any good reasoning. It went from 0-100 real fast. That being said, I really enjoyed the storyline and had fun with it for the most part. I will read the rest of the series at some point!
DNF!!! How is it so highly rated? Are the reviews satire? I’m 9 chapters In and genuinely cannot finish. The book is legit a fanfic of Acotar. I can’t even continue to read this book with the authors writing giving wat-pad. I cannot even recommend this book to others, I find myself asking why within the 9 chapters I have read wasting time and money on this book and book two.
