توضیحات

This book brings together the "imaginary interviews" that David Mandel has written about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The author uses laughter, irony, parody and farce as weapons to expose the hypocrisy, obsession, distortion of facts, bias and double standards with which the media, international organizations, governments and public figures deal with the conflict.

The interviews, although imaginary, include sometimes statements expressed publicly by the "interviewees" or, in other cases, paraphrases of what the author considers are their true feelings and opinions, what they would say if they would speak frankly and sincerely, leaving aside their "political correctness."

At the same time, these "interviews" are a chronicle of the people, events and incidents, which have shaped recent history, written by a brilliant and witty commentator at the time that they occurred. They are presented in the chronological order that they were written, their dates appear below the title of the article, and are preceded by a brief explanation about the "interviewee" and the circumstances that led to the "interview."

Mandel is a witty, sharp, provocative and controversial commentator. In this thought provoking book he has achieved something remarkable: he presents with humor, laughter and irony the confrontation of two nations that have not yet found a way to live in peace in the same land.
