I found myself skimming some of the Brienne chapters as they were utterly boring. I have now started A Dance with Dragons and happy to report that I’m enjoying it a lot more, and I’m only 100 pages in!
About 15 Cersei chapters too many, but overall, I found it much more engaging than I did the last time I attempted to read through it. I may not have loved it the way I did the first three books in the series, but it did successfully rekindle my love for a series that had been all but dead to me for over two years. For that, I am thankful.
