Just Forever

It's been two years.
Two years of Ryker. Two years of being married to my best friend. Two years of taking chances. Making plans. Building a life together. Following my heart.
Two years of trust.
Two years of love.
Two years of us.
And now we’re in New York. Me in med school, and Ryker in the NHL.
It’s going great so far.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
Maybe… Maybe just the hiding. Because hiding sucks.
It’s okay, though.
I can handle anything as long as I have Ryker.
Even if keeping us a secret makes me overly cautious.
Slightly paranoid.
More than a little distrustful.
A ticking time bomb of tension.
I can handle it.
I have to.
Because losing Ryker is not an option, and I will do whatever it takes to keep him.
