I can't even begin to describe how amazing this book was. I was lost for the first part of it until I understood the POV and knew somehow these characters would some how intertwine in this story and that kept me reading... Martha - I instantly had my heart strings tugged learning her story. Henry - the non perv but don't worry, he's not a weirdo 🤣 (really, he isn't) had me rooting for not only his quest, but screaming at him because he was engaged!? Then applauding him for going back, but suddenly and left Martha wondering... And then returning and cheering him on... Again, slightly screaming at him through various parts.. And cheering him on again... It's fine. Everything is fine.Opaline - As if my heart strings weren't tugged by Martha - Opaline. Words cannot describe how heart wrenching her story was and the twist at the end had my heart drop into my stomach at 3am because it's one of those you just can't, stop... And uncovering everything, so beautifully. Absolutely heart wrenching but so magical all in the same breath.And the phenomenal Madame Eileen Bowden. I can only hope, I myself have a Madam Bowden sometime in my lifetime. Although, if I take a step back, I think I've had a few safe-haven fierce protectors without realizing it, hopefully we all have, sometime in our lives. I hope.
This book was an amazing read! <spoiler>I kind of figured the two of the characters were related the more I read on!</spoiler> But all in all, it was a really good read.
