توضیحات
Les Miserables is widely considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. First published in France in 1862, it is Victor Hugo's greatest achievement--the ultimate tale of redemption. Former prisoner Jean Valjean struggles to live virtuously after an unexpected act of forgiveness by a kindly bishop changes his life. His righteous actions change people's lives in surprising ways and culminate in romance between two young people. Now available as part of the Word Cloud Classics series, Les Miserables is a must-have addition to the libraries of all classic literature lovers.

Amazing story. 4.5/5 ⭐️ from me. The only thing keeping it from a 5 is that this is the first book in league with War and Peace and The Count of Monte Cristo that I would 100% advocate for reading an abridged version. Too many huge parts bloated this story and didn't add much to the plot such as the huge section in the beginning about the bishop, Waterloo, and the sewer systems. The parts of the actual story we are drip fed make it worth reading but i will definetly consider abridged versions of Hugos work in the future.

This is a must-read. Everyone is familiar with the broadway play, but the book is SO much better. Truly a classic!
