Lost In Reading: A Reading Library Writers' Group Anthology

Hobnail Boots and Candy Floss, the first Reading Library Writers’ Group collection was shortlisted for a Writing Magazine award in 2012 and this new collection of stories set in the town has similar wide-ranging appeal. In Lost in Reading, the authors mine a rich seam of history from a 17th century battle to the last hanging at Reading Gaol, as well as addressing such contemporary problems as urban poverty and loneliness. They make use of the town’s notable residents, famous and infamous, past and present, as characters and find inspiration in its buildings and institutions. Anyone with an interest in Reading is sure to find something to enjoy from the 28 stories in Lost in Reading. If you enjoy this collection why not check out our other 'Hobnail Boots & Candy Floss'
