What's a woman to do when she loses her job, her apartment, and her boyfriend in the same week? After the Week From Hell, Amanda's left with only one choice to move back home with her "ailing" (hypochondriac) mother, her Grandmother who's addicted to reality shows and her no-good out-of-work brother. Amanda, a converted city girl, doesn't know what to do with herself in the mid-sized New England town she left as soon as she hit eighteen.
