The final book in the Track series. I feel like this book not only told Lu's story but seemed to capture the image and story of the whole team. Lu was born to be a runner but he is also a very dedicated son. His father has made mistakes in the past and doesn't want Lu on the same path. Little does his father know that those mistakes are going to involve Lu eventually. In this story, there is character development of Lu but I feel like there is even more character development of his father as well as the two Coaches of the track team. It is as if through his eyes and his perspective, we learn about pieces that have been missing from the other three books. And everything seems to come together and connect in such interesting ways. Characters that you never realized connected did. And in this book, we learn about what it means to be both a team and a family, what it means to crave competition but also have integrity. A phenomenal way to end the series! Highly recommend the whole series for sure!!
