Mad in Pursuit is a thriller, erotic in places, a dark story of unfortunate circumstances, triggered by an over protective instinct embedded in the main character’s relationship with her brother. Rita Dean and her brother Jack are close……unhealthily close, and when Rita learns from her brother’s partner, Carol, that he has up and left for Paris to live the life of a bohemian writer, she goes hot in pursuit after him. We learn from the outset that Rita is gay and frequents the London scene. Rita takes an apartment in the Clichy district of Paris and against a backdrop of civil unrest, a heavy police presence, and a string of murders, searches for her brother, who is being treated for manic depression. In her mad pursuit Rita becomes involved in a set of circumstances that have horrifying consequences for her and those around her.
